Vintage Levi’s Jean Jacket Big E Type 2 with Knife Pleats, Selvedge Inside, Iron Buttons, Bar Tacks, Copper Rivets, 17 Backstamp, Single Stitching and Pocket Flaps.
It is a dark blue denim. The color is most accurate in the photo shown above. Other photos may appear lighter or brighter blue. There are some red stains as shown in the photos. All that is left of the back label is some stitching and a small piece of what appears to be dark brown dried leather. The left front pocket has the red tag with the big “E”, Levi’s on both sides and the trademark “R”. Some of the button backs are stamped with the number 17. It is in very good condition for its age – it was obtained along with other clothing from the 1950s and 60s that were well preserved as well, some with their original tags. It is in gently used condition with some fading. There are bar tacks sewn under the pocket flaps. There is selvedge on the inside of the front placket. It is a boxy shape and the front features knife pleats down the front. Please inspect all photos carefully for details and feel welcome to ask any questions you may have.
